Introduction

Our Story

Jamia Arabia Hathaura, located in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, is a well-established academic institution deeply rooted in democratic India. Founded to address the growing demand for Islamic education and to bridge the gap in meaningful Islamic higher studies, the institution is committed to advancing Islamic propagation in India.

Located approximately 16 kilometers east of Banda city along the Banda-Baberu Road, Hathaura Village sits about 2 kilometers from this route. Originally settled by Husaini, Wasti, and Sadat communities, this small hamlet was formerly known as Husainpur.

Following a notable event attributed to Syed Husain Ahmed, it was renamed Hathaura.

India Got Freedom (1947)

After 1947, following India’s independence and the subsequent upheavals, uneducated and marginalized Muslim communities in the region faced the threat of mass conversions due to social instability and unrest.

Establishment of Jamia Arabia (1952)

During that period, Hazrat Maulana Mohammad Sayed Siddiq Ahmad Bandwi RA, the founder of Jamia Arabia Hathaura, was serving as a teacher in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. Upon learning of the alarming trend of mass conversions, he was deeply disturbed. In response, and with the aim of halting this and promoting Islamic teachings, he established Jamia Arabia Hathaura in the year 1952

Expansion of Jamia Arabia
(1975)

The beginnings of Jamia Arabia took place under the humble shelter of the village mosque’s Khaprail roof. As the institution expanded rapidly, the number of students grew, prompting the construction of new rooms in 1975. A significant milestone was marked by a large conference held in Hathaura, attended by over ten thousand participants.

Becoming one of the Premier Islamic Institutes
(2022)

Jamia Arabia has completed 70 years since its establishment, marked by perseverance, sacrifice, and eventual success. It has evolved into a prominent institution that transcends state and national boundaries, extending its presence to countries such as Nepal, Malaysia, Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond.

Currently, Jamia Arabia enrolls students from various countries and operates branches both in India and several other nations. Each year, a significant number of students successfully complete their education. Since its establishment in 1952, Jamia Arabia Hathaura has produced numerous batches of scholars who, by the grace of Allah, are making substantial contributions in the fields of Islamic propagation and education across India and globally.
